The Trooth Fairy is a living character channeled by multidisciplinary performance artist Unkel Kunkel!
“The best part of being the Trooth Fairy is that I get to truly connect with people in just seconds–that’s the most magic thing of all–and that’s the power of clowning!”
As The Trooth Fairy, Kunkel portrays an unpredictable clown fairy serving up cosmic divinations of joyful truth for beings of all ages! Carefully crafting choose-your-own-adventure games and prompts, Kunkel improvises every interaction, using her education in theater, and life-long experience as an entertainer and clown, making up songs and spells on the spot!
Every meeting with the Trooth Fairy is one of transformation. Children of all ages are met with loving reflection, whimsical games, absurd theatrics, and divine messages meant to empower each person she meets with a reflection of their own divine light and love, radical acceptance, power to speak truth and the joy of play!
“I feel like she is my ultimate heightened modality of divine messenger”, says Kunkel, “--in other words–one of my most-me clowns I’ve ever clowned! Both gentle and feral, both brave and bashful, yet always loving, always a channel for radical acceptance and loving reflection–and hugely silly!"

. . . "It’s not uncommon that many adults walk away from a two-minute experience of The Trooth Fairy divining their truth, with tears in their eyes, saying “Thank you, thank you, I really needed this message”.
"And every single child walks away smiling or laughing. Every single person leaves with a gift of some kind–a fortune from the dragon's mouth, or a handwritten note, a small prize, or a token for a spell they just made up!”
"It can be easy," continues Kunkel, "but it’s also exhausting–ha ha! Just being so attentive to hundreds of people, one after the other, sensing what they are feeling and how to make them feel safe and seen in just a matter of seconds and to help them feel the message they are already seeking–in matter of moments, helping them feel the story they are searching for–and it’s already within themselves! Helping them feel their own transformation, their own magic… And usually laughing ourselves home.
This kind of work–clowning, improvisation–it’s a challenge for sure, but such a deep honor, my life’s greatest work and ultimate pleasure.”
